TR-317 InspectorTeledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.The TR-317 Inspector is responsible for performing visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished products to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements. This position supports manufacturing operations by identifying nonconforming material, documenting inspection results, and helping maintain product quality standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process, final, and receiving inspections in accordance with established procedures.Verify product conformance using engineering drawings, specifications, route sheets, and work instructions.Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using calibrated measuring equipment.Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material.Initiate and process nonconformance reports as required.Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.Verify completion of required manufacturing and inspection records.Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.Participate in continuous improvement activities.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Previous manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience preferred.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.Proficient in the use of inspection tools and measuring equipment such as:CalipersMicrometersHeight GagesOptical ComparatorsOther inspection equipment as requiredBasic computer skills and experience with electronic documentation systems.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to make accurate pass/fail determinations based on defined criteria.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle parts and inspection tools.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.Visual acuity sufficient to perform detailed inspections.Key CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication skillsCommitment to quality and complianceAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasksPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 25 lbs.Ability to use magnification and microscopes as neededManual dexterity for handling small componentsTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
