Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 12 months permanent experience in specialty required License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand required Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certificates required Must-Have: - 12 months permanent experience in the specialty applying for. - Active certifications in hand at time of submission. - Reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for. Description: Position available for a step-down registered nurse. The role may require floating to other units to care for the same patient population. Shifts will alternate between night and day, and may vary when operational needs arise. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safe practices assessment will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Opportunities for extensions may be available based on client needs. Travelers who remain on continuous contracts or return in the subsequent calendar year are required to complete annual competencies. Compliance with nicotine-free requirements is mandatory, except for specific roles. All candidates must complete background checks and license verification.
