Job Description

As a Security Officer Guest Verification in Boise, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology location, you will help support access control by screening visitors, verifying credentials, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. You will maintain a visible presence, report security-related concerns, and help create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries entering the facility in accordance with site access-control procedures; verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and/or other screening equipment; report irregularities, prohibited items, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating notifications to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, building spaces, and perimeter locations; document observations and complete required activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
