Advocacy Director, North America

Position Overview Director of On‑Premise Trade Advocacy – North America. Leads the Advocacy platform for the Bacardi Portfolio, accelerating momentum, building influential relationships, and driving brand equity and commercial performance within bars, restaurants, and hospitality venues. Responsibilities Lead refinement of the NAM advocacy strategy, aligning with Bacardi strategy. Develop best‑in‑class advocacy programs to win hearts and minds of trade and influencer consumers. Build strong relationships with key trade leaders, influencers, and media partners. Set and communicate tangible, achievable commercial goals for advocacy team and agency ambassadors. Identify on‑premise trends and transform them into actionable insights in partnership with Customer Solutions. Consultatively support Customer Marketing and Commercial teams to optimize Bacardi’s presence in the On‑Trade channel. Build and execute a uniform, “best‑in‑class” education platform for all brands. Support the NAOP Team with education, rate‑of‑sale initiatives, and strategic cocktail development for key national customers. Collaborate with the Prestige Events Team on brand activations, trade engagements, education, and training. Drive continuous improvement of advocacy capabilities, innovating ambassador programs and programming. Facilitate internal education and leadership programs to grow team capabilities and inspire passion for the brand. Leadership & Team Management Create a high‑performance team culture of excellence and passion. Set an inspiring vision and challenging targets, allocating resources and budget for development. Foster community, recruit top talent, and cultivate a culture of belonging. Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field (preferred). Minimum 10 years of experience in On‑Premise or trade advocacy. Strong understanding of the advocacy landscape in North America. Experience in strategy development and implementation. Line‑management experience with strong financial acumen. Experience working with data/insights teams or customer analytics. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to leadership, partners, and stakeholders. Preferred: On‑Trade leadership experience, customer/brand marketing, trade operations, and industry connections. Leadership Agility Fearless – willing to challenge and innovate.
