Senior Cost Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant who enjoys analyzing financial data, understanding the story behind the numbers, and partnering with leadership to drive informed business decisions.Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.This role goes beyond month-end close and financial reporting, serving as a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, and Leadership while helping improve financial performance across a manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working in spreadsheets, collaborating with department leaders, and understanding operations on the production floor.Key Responsibilities Business Partnership & Financial AnalysisPartner with Operations leadership to analyze business performance, profitability, and financial trends.Identify opportunities and risks impacting margins and operational performance.Develop financial reports and analysis to support data-driven decision-making.Identify and prioritize opportunities for operational and financial improvement.Cost Accounting & Inventory ManagementMaintain and manage the standard costing system.Analyze product costs, margins, and inventory valuation.Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory.Manage inventory reconciliations and excess/obsolete inventory reserve calculations.Financial Reporting & Internal ControlsPrepare and review monthly financial statements.Complete balance sheet reconciliations.Support financial audits and compliance requirements.Maintain strong internal controls and ensure financial accuracy.Leadership & Continuous ImprovementCollaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Commercial, and Leadership teams.Support capital investment analysis and justification reviews.Help align financial strategies with overall business goals.Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, reporting, and business performance.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required.Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.Minimum of 4 years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of GAAP and the ability to research and apply accounting guidance.Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, product costing, and financial analysis.Oracle experience strongly preferred; experience with large-scale ERP systems required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with employees at all levels.Strong business acumen and understanding of manufacturing operations and profitability drivers.High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.Frequency varies for text messages.Message and data rates may apply.Carriers are not liable for delayed or undeliverable messages. xhyhwjd You can reply STOP to cancel and HELP for help.You can access our privacy policy at #zrbc
