Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.50 - $17.50 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Prep Cook:

• Cut and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients for meal preparation

• Prepare hot and cold meats and rice according to recipes and food safety standards

• Test foods to determine if they are prepared and cooked correctly

• Store food at correct temperatures to ensure freshness

• Utilize blenders, cutlery, and ovens to prepare food

• Make sure area is clean and all quality and sanitation standards are met, including cold and hot storage

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Minimum2yearsofexperienc e infoodpreparation,kitchenoperations,orarelatedfoodserviceenvironmentrequired

• Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation

• Possess a valid food handler's card or ServSafe certification - our branch will help provide this training

• Able to work all areas of the kitchen

• Background check required
