Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data; observes patient manifestations and intervenes as necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Delegates tasks to support staff and performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program
• Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
