Job Title: Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA)
Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 6:00AM - 6:00AM x 2
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate : $739 - $796/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA) for a locum tenens assignment in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA):
• Provide APP support coverage for Cardiac Surgery department on a weekend schedule (Friday 5pm to Monday 7am)
• Provide 24-hour call coverage with an average callback of approximately 4 hours per day including rounding
• Cover 3 weekends per month
• Manage urgent cardiac surgery cases, including patients coming directly from the cath lab to surgery
• Perform vein harvesting procedures
• Provide care and management for adult patients (ages 18+) across the continuum from ICU to discharge
• Collaborate with supervising surgeon who is available for backup following consult
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Maintain active PA license with DEA certification
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Maintain board certification as required for practice
• Adhere to all credentialing and privileging requirements, including full compliance due 2 weeks prior to start
