They should demonstrate a variety of evaluation and treatment techniques, exhibit excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, and effectively communicate with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

Role Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will deliver comprehensive physical therapy services to patients, which includes, but is not limited to:

• Conducting screenings and evaluations, developing treatment plans, implementing treatments, reassessing and revising treatment strategies, re-evaluating patients, planning for discharge, and maintaining documentation across various settings.
• Participating in program planning and protocol development as needed, while assisting the team in achieving set objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations by reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and documenting results while explaining findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting.

• Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient conditions, and the changing healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary and document any changes in patient conditions that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional consultations.

• Ensure proper discharge planning and follow-up care. Document and charge for patient care activities accurately and promptly, providing a clear overview of the patient’s treatment journey, including initial evaluations, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.

• Manage time effectively to meet productivity goals while maintaining an accurate schedule. Show a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, creativity, and empathetic behavior in a patient-centered environment.

• Proactively seek and engage in continuing education for personal and organizational growth. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

• Licensure in Maryland, the District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia as required for your specific location.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.

Compensation

This position offers a salary range of USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year.
