DAISY Margarita Bar is a vibrant margarita bar and cantina-style restaurant located in Sherman Oaks serving modern northern Mexican cuisine. We pride ourselves on teamwork, consistency, and creating an environment where culinary professionals can grow.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, takes pride in organization and cleanliness, and is passionate about producing consistent, high-quality dishes.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service
- Ensure all food is prepared with proper food safety and sanitation standards
- Work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining quality
- Communicate clearly with chefs and team members during service
- Assist with prep work and closing duties as needed
- Help maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues
- 2+ years of experience working on a professional kitchen line preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong knife skills and basic cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays

Descripción del puesto
Estamos buscando un(a) Cocinero(a) de Línea confiable y motivado(a) para unirse a nuestro equipo de cocina. El candidato ideal se desempeña bien en un ambiente de alto volumen, se enorgullece de la organización y limpieza, y tiene pasión por preparar platillos consistentes y de alta calidad.
Responsabilidades
- Preparar y cocinar los platillos del menú siguiendo recetas y estándares del restaurante
- Montar y abastecer las estaciones con los insumos necesarios
- Mantener un área de trabajo limpia y organizada durante todo el servicio
- Asegurar que todos los alimentos se preparen cumpliendo con normas de seguridad e higiene
- Trabajar eficientemente durante servicios de alto volumen sin sacrificar la calidad
- Comunicarse claramente con chefs y miembros del equipo durante el servicio
- Apoyar en la preparación previa y tareas de cierre según sea necesario
- Ayudar a mantener el equipo de cocina y reportar cualquier problema
Requisitos
- Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en una cocina profesional (preferido)
- Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente dinámico y de alto volumen
- Buen manejo de cuchillos y técnicas básicas de cocina
- Conocimiento de normas de seguridad alimentaria e higiene
- Trabajo en equipo y buenas habilidades de comunicación
- Capacidad para estar de pie por largos periodos y levantar hasta 50 lbs (23 kg aprox.)
- Disponibilidad para trabajar noches, fines de semana y días festivos
