You are at the heart of health.Our Lactation Consultant's:Provide support to breastfeeding patients and their familiesFunction within the scope of practice as identified by the States Board of Nursing, facility guidelines and the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners standardsAre responsible for the assessment, planning, intervention, staff education and evaluation of lactation support and education for clients in the postpartum period at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and at the breastfeeding support group post patient dischargeCommunicates effectively with physicians and staff as part of the health care team to collaboratively generate a plan of care for safe infant feeding, protecting mother's milk supply and to promote breastfeedingWhat you'll bring:Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration, Nurse Practitioner License & Registration, or Physician Assistant License & RegistrationEducation: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree requiredWill consider Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) if in pursuit of a Bachelors5+ years of clinical experience2+ years of management experience preferredCertification: International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification requiredPosted Salary RangeUSD $65.20 - USD $78.24 /Hr.This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
