Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.

Perform thorough documentation review to ensure accurate patient records and treatment plans.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.

Utilize Dentrix systems for patient management and record keeping.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry practices.

Assist dentists during procedures through chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.

Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.

Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to documentation review, medical coding, and appointment scheduling.

Requirements

· Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.

Proven experience working in dental healthcare settings with proficiency in dental assisting procedures.

Familiarity with dental software platforms for managing electronic health records (EHR).

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients.

Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.

Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety.

Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care practices.

Competence in medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and patient assessment techniques.

Knowledge of medical coding systems relevant to dental procedures for accurate documentation review.

Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
