Inventory Clerk

This is a hands-on warehouse position responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and order fulfillment activities. The role involves pulling orders, packaging materials, operating a forklift, and ensuring materials are accurately received, tagged, and shipped.

Responsibilities

• Pick and package customer orders.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks/containers.
• Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Receive incoming materials and apply material tags.
• Scan inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct dock audits to verify order accuracy.
• Weigh shipments and verify packaging paperwork/BOLs.
• Ensure materials meet packaging and quality standards.
• Supply production teams with packaging materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, shipping, and receiving area.
• Assist production and supply chain teams during high-volume periods.
• Support general warehouse operations as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Shipping & Receiving.
• 1+ year of Forklift Operating experience.
• 1+ year of Order Picking & Packaging experience.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Experience with forklifts, pallet equipment, and scales.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Metal fabrication experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of part functionality and assembly components.
• Experience using measuring devices and inspection tools.

Work Environment

The work environment is set in a manufacturing/warehouse setting, specifically within the shipping and receiving dock. Material handling is required throughout the facility. Physical requirements include frequent lifting and moving of materials, standing and walking for extended periods, and operating a forklift during shifts. The equipment used includes forklifts, pallet machines, shipping scales, and barcode scanners. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
