Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts | Variable start times based on surgical schedule and unit needs (typical start times: 0900, 1000, or 1330)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures in the PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patient status following anesthesia, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort during recovery
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic electronic health records
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities nearby as directed by unit needs
• Participate in holiday coverage, including a willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)

Required Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of PACU experience required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Current relevant certifications required (copies must be provided)
• Willingness to float to sister or affiliate facilities as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a travel or multi-facility nursing environment
• Familiarity with variable surgical schedules and adaptability to shifting unit demands
