Pride health is actively hiring a Registered Nurse to join our client's home health program in a growing care team serving patients .

Compensation:

• Local Pay: $53.00 to $58.00/hour (W-2)

• Travel Pay: $2,400 to $2,550 gross per week

  (Can work as a Traveler if your home location is more than 50 miles away from Martinsville, VA . Almost half of the pay package will be non-taxable and will be paid as stipend. You will be making almost $300 to $400/week more as compared to a local contractor as half of the pay is non-taxable.)

• Mileage Reimbursement: $0.49/mile (from first patient to last patient)

Schedule details (hours per day/week): 8h/day, 40h/week

Productivity expectations: 30 points

On Call/Weekend Requirement: weeknight/weekend rotating schedule

Coverage Areas: Martinsville, VA; Henry County, VA

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive home health nursing care by conducting patient assessments, completing OASIS evaluations, administering medications, performing wound care and skilled nursing procedures, monitoring chronic conditions, and educating patients and caregivers to improve outcomes and prevent hospital readmissions.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans while maintaining accurate HCHB/EMR documentation, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, managing care across Martinsville and Henry County, VA, and participating in the rotating weeknight/weekend on-call schedule to ensure continuity of care.

Must have qualifications/experience:

• To work as a Home Health Registered Nurse, you must hold an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and clinical experience in an acute care or skilled nursing setting.
• You also need a clean driving record and strong independent assessment skills.
  
  

What skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart?

• 1+ years of home health experience, including OASIS documentation and training. Familiarity with EMR and ability to quickly be competent with HCHB documentation system.
• Experience in wound care and IV medication administration and management.
