General Information

Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds – Bed Capacity is 32; Number of Staff – Unit has 40 employees; Type of staff: Director, manager, CN’s, Staff RN’s, LVN’s, Nurse Aides, and Unit secretaries.

Day Shift – CN, 3-5 staff nurses (depending on census), 2-3 nurse aides, and US; Night Shift – CN, 3-5 staff nurses (depending on census), 2-3 aides; Patient Ratios – 6-7 patients per nurse; 2-3 nurses depending of census; Type of equipment – PCA pumps, IV pumps

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

Med-Surg experience; Minimum of 2 years recent hospital experience

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Surgical experience; bilingual preferred but not a must; Experience with Meditech

List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Admissions, discharges, transfers; Wound care, IV’s, Blood administration, collecting of specimens, medication administration

Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.

Scrub Color - Royal Blue; Only scrub jacket in white or royal blue may be used; no outside jackets.
