Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics by employing standardized tests and observing behaviors.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies to support both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Conduct tailored speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop unified care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate advancements outside clinical appointments.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure seamless patient care throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development through continuous education and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
