ABOUT THE ROLE

Makeup By Mario is looking for a dynamic Manager to own and grow our Ecommerce business. This role will own DTC site management and our Shopify platform. This person will help drive customer acquisition, traffic growth, and performance improvements across paid and retention channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all DTC product detail pages (PDPs) including asset updates, delivery, and alignment with brand strategy and marketing initiatives Manage collection page updates (product listings, copy, tags, collections, and asset updates), ensuring accuracy, on-brand presentation, and maximizing conversion Own and manage the Shopify store and its integrations across the ecommerce tech stack (Shopify apps, plugins, and data flows) Brief & traffic creative assets cross-functionally, ensuring timelines are met Partner with our development agency on site enhancement, upgrades, and optimizations Own the site roadmap and develop a point of view on where our experience should go — what best-in-class prestige beauty looks like, what's worth building, and what isn't. (prioritize features, enhancements, QA, troubleshooting, and A/B testing initiatives, and align stakeholders on timelines and deliverables) Manage and update the ecommerce merchandising calendar (program launches, promotions, and site moments, ensuring all launch dates are accurate across every market, including international) Manage our product seeding plan, regularly analyze product reviews and scores to help drive the business, managing negative reviews with immediate action Manage our search visibility (SEO/AEO/GEO) in partnership with our agency — product content, structured data and reviews — and grow AI-referred traffic and conversion. Own the end-to-end customer online experience: landing, discovery, PDP, cart, checkout as well as site speed and conversion Use Chord, Triple Whale, Shopify, and other data resources to monitor site performance, traffic, conversion, and revenue, providing actionable insights to optimize performance, identify areas for improvement, and continuously enhance the user experience Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align on ecommerce needs, strategy and upcoming campaign execution Build strong partnerships with our agencies and stay ahead of emerging ecommerce trends, tools, and best practices to keep the site at the forefront of innovation

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

Hands-on ecommerce expertise: You’ve managed a DTC site. You know the levers of online revenue including site performance, analytics, PDP optimization, collection merchandising and conversion Shopify experience: You know the platform, it’s ecosystem of apps and integrations, and your way around the backend A roadmap owner: You prioritize, plan, and drive future site initiatives from concept through launch Experience with agencies: You have worked with or partnered with a cross-functional support team in the past and know how to manage the relationship and expectations Conversion and UX depth: you've run a real experimentation program and can talk credibly about test design, sample size, and what you learned when tests failed. A brand eye: you can improve conversion without cheapening a prestige experience. A planning savant: You’re hyper-organized around planning and meeting deadlines Analytical rigor: You measure performance and can say plainly what did & didn’t work A point of view on AI-driven discovery and the curiosity to build our approach as it evolves. An entrepreneurial and proactive mindset in a fast-moving brand and industry

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field 4+ years of experience in ecommerce or digital marketing with a proven track record of driving online revenue ideally in prestige beauty Deep, hands-on experience managing a Shopify ecommerce platform, including apps & integrations Experience managing DTC PDPs, site merchandising, and A/B testing, and conversion optimization Experience with international site rollout or multi-market management, preferred. Strong analytical skills, including experience with Google Analytics, Shopify, Triple Whale, Chord, Dash Hudson, or similar platforms Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Passion for beauty, innovation, and digital culture A proactive, curious mindset with a desire to learn and grow within ecommerce
