The medical assistant supports providers and care teams by preparing patients for visits, collecting vital information, assisting with procedures, documenting care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

What you'll do:

• Prepare patients for appointments and procedures
• Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
• Assist providers during exams and treatments
• Administer immunizations and collect specimens
• Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up care
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized exam rooms
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary care teams
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care

Medical assistant career levels:

• Medical Assistant I: Entry-level to 1 year of experience
• Medical Assistant II: 13 years of experience
• Medical Assistant III: 3+ years of experience

Employees who obtain certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, etc.) are eligible for additional hourly pay incentives.

Compensation: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Up to an additional $2.00/hour for certified MAs.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or current MA certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to complete credentialing and privileging requirements
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care
• Must obtain or possess a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred:

• Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply
• Experience in primary care, pediatrics, or behavioral health settings
• Experience working in community health or integrated care environments
