Supply Technician

SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician for our customer site in North Charleston, SC.

The Supply Technician:

• Provides expertise and the ability to supervise the LMADIS Materials Management team
• Provides material purchase status reports to management
• Works with Purchasing Team to execute common buys across programs and build long term agreements with key suppliers
• Works with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to identify and qualify new suppliers
• Collaborates with other managers to determine material needs
• Works with all Program Managers, Engineers, and Program Logisticians to furnish complete Build of Materials (BOMs) to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements
• Resolves program shortages by reviewing and analyzing all back-orders
• Makes periodic calls to vendors to insure promised dates are kept
• Collects merchandise from the Shipping and receiving section and safely transports materials to the receiving area
• Receives and documents merchandise for delivery or return
• Keeps an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
• Identifies any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notifies the Management
• Ensures that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled
• Supervises all material through computer input
• Assists with training of newly employed workers

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma and five (5) years of experience
• Requires excellent time management and prioritizing skills to meet the challenges of unexpected program updates and requirements
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail and accuracy are critical
• CMPRO experience
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust
