We are currently seeking a Preconstruction Services Associate to join our team in Walbridge, Ohio . In this role, you will be an integral part of the project development process, supporting project managers and preconstruction professionals during the critical planning phase of large-scale construction projects. You will be involved in developing budgets, identifying scope, preparing schedules, and coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to contribute to the successful planning of complex building projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and management of conceptual and detailed project budgets.
• Work closely with estimators, project managers, and other preconstruction staff to define project scope and schedule.
• Support bid and procurement processes by coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Support value engineering efforts to identify cost-effective solutions.
• Track design changes, budget updates, and maintain organized documentation throughout the preconstruction phase.
• Participate in client and internal coordination meetings, offering technical insight and documentation support.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and use software tools to support cost estimating and budgeting.
• Collaborate with design professionals, consultants, and construction partners to ensure project alignment before handoff to construction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related construction/engineering work.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with construction software tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and take-off/estimating programs is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Local candidates strongly preferred.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
• Work sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
