Booth Program Coordinator

Responsibilities Create a case management program for young parents, including forms, assessments, filing system and evaluation procedures, within the first 90 days of employment. Provide general oversight of the incentive store; create policies for Booth Bucks, store procedures, and recruit volunteers for the Incentive Store, ensuring adequate volunteer training. Develop program policies and procedures for enrollment, behavior, volunteer training, intern training, inclusiveness, staff training, etc., following The Salvation Army’s National Social Service Standards; complete within 90 days. Coordinate weekly life skills and parenting classes for the school year (schedule guest speakers and outside instructors). Meet weekly with Cardinal Academy to coordinate services and staff/student cases. Coordinate with WIC and Head Start to host on‑site clinics and services for students. Work with the development team for program marketing and public relations. Maintain all client and program information, files, and required forms; coordinate with grant writer to ensure grant reporting and expenditure compliance. Maintain an up‑to‑date understanding of the Health and Welfare system and community resources. Serve as the Salvation Army Booth Program representative to community groups focused on health, family, and education issues; attend outreach events and committee meetings as required. Attend staff trainings and regular staff meetings. Report weekly to Supervisor; provide supervision and communication as scheduled. Assist in maintaining policies, procedures, regulations, contracts, grants, etc.; manage policies and procedures updates. Ensure timely closure and destruction of client files per funding agency, Salvation Army policy, and Social Work licensing requirements. Adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics. Directly supervise the Program Assistant and Kitchen Manager to ensure quality services and nutritional meals. Assist with holiday and special events as requested by the corps officer. Respond to inquiries regarding the Booth Program, provide tours, and assist students with registration paperwork. Provide crisis management support to students and families. Implement and maintain case management for all students; conduct monthly case management meetings and at least two home visits per school year. Recruit, train, and supervise social work interns (implement intern training covering crisis management, group work, client advocacy, and ethics). Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (required). Experience: 2 years of program planning (preferred) and clinical experience is preferred or working toward clinical hours. Licenses & Certifications: CPR/First Aid (infant/child and adult), driver’s license, Idaho Master’s Social Work License. Skills: Public speaking; Microsoft Outlook and Word (basic document creation); basic math; conflict management; effective working relationships; attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. Knowledge: Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment efficiently; familiarity with office practices and procedures; ability to read, write, and speak English clearly. Abilities: Interpersonal skills for dealing with individuals in favorable and unfavorable situations; capacity to direct work of others; organization, prioritization, planning; multitasking and adapting to changing conditions; learning new systems and procedures. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand, sit, twist, and stretch regularly. Other Requirements Confidentiality of private information must be observed. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record; must pass a motor vehicle record check and complete The Salvation Army’s driving education course within 30 days of employment.
