Must-Have:
Medical ICU experience in a large facility.
Comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
Critical thinker who is flexible and works well with others.
Advanced skills in ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, and hemodynamic monitoring.


Description:
The unit has a total of 10 beds for ICU and PCU overflow.
ICU patient ratio is 2:1 and PCU patient ratio is 4-5:1.
Unit staffing includes 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs during the day shift, and 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs during the night shift.
No unit secretaries or patient care technicians are available.
The equipment used includes lift equipment, targeted temperature management, ventilators, and IV pumps.
The documentation system utilized is Cerner.
Scheduling requires 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday support.
There are no on-call requirements, but floating policy is applicable.
Mandatory bedside shift reports are required in all areas of the unit.
Staff members will assist providers with bedside procedures, such as chest tube insertion and intubations.
All staff must adhere to the dress code of navy blue or white scrubs.
