Respiratory Therapist Nights (Full-Time)

Respiratory TherapistWe're looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our team and provide professional respiratory care for children, teens, and young adults. This role is an essential part of our multidisciplinary team within our inpatient services, including pediatric rehabilitation and long term complex medical units.Schedule:Full-Time, 3 shifts per week, 6pm-6:30 am, every 3rd weekend.Benefit eligible including medical, dental, vision plans, retirement with company match and generous PTO accrual including 16 hours of PTO front-loadedHow You'll Make an Impact:Within the respiratory therapy scope of practice, physician's orders, and the child's care plan, make decisions and deliver a full range of respiratory therapy care based on the fundamentals of the respiratory therapy care.Maintain accurate, completed, and timely records as defined by respiratory therapy standards of practice and Child Serve policies and procedures.Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with children, physicians, families, school personnel, Child Serve staff, and others to assure assigned child's care needs are assessed, communicated, and met.Stay current with all unit and Child Serve specific information.Provide respiratory and related training to children, families, and staff as needed to help advance the skills and knowledge of all people associated with a child's care delivery.Demonstrate good stewardship of Child Serve equipment, supplies, and environment.What You'll Need:Certification from an accredited respiratory therapy program and current licensure to practice in the state of IowaDocumentation of current CPR/BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationVentilator experiencePediatric experience preferredPALS certification preferredExperience with tracheostomy care and changes preferredAbility to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and standAbility to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English languageMake a Difference Every Day at Child ServeChildServe partners with families to help children with special healthcare needs live a great life.ChildServe is a leading pediatric healthcare provider with Iowa's only children's specialty hospital, offering a variety of services and programs to meet each child's unique needs.ChildServe's four key specialty areas include: complex medical care, pediatric rehabilitation, autism and behavioral health, and community-based services.
