Locums Hematology Oncology Physician in Iowa - Four-Day Week, Outpatient Focus

Spend most of your clinical time in outpatient hematology and oncology while working four days per week across two Iowa locations.

Highlights

• 95 percent outpatient coverage
• Four clinical days per week
• Additional coverage blocks available into 2027
• Limited inpatient responsibilities

Practice & Cases

• Adult hematology and oncology care
• Approximately 10 to 30 clinic patients per day
• Patient assessments, treatment planning, chemotherapy management, pain management, and end-of-life care
• RN or CMA support with onsite imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services

Schedule

• Four days of coverage per week
• Daytime clinic coverage
• Weeknight call required during scheduled workweeks
• 24 hour weekend call may fall before or after a scheduled week

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology preferred
• Active Iowa license or active IMLC LOQ required
• ACLS and DEA required
