As an Aerospace Systems Engineer, you will have a direct impact on the design and operation of future Blue Origin missions. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Contribute to the overall physical integration and packaging of the structural, mechanical, fluids and avionics subsystems within the integrated vehicleCreate and manage interface definitions between subsystems with appropriate control documents and ensure that the configuration supports major design reviews and program milestonesContinually assess design for integrated manufacturing, assembly, test and operations and drive design to optimize for manufacturability, quality, and costSupport development of system requirements, flow down, and verification planningCoordinate regular configuration reviews to address module level interfaces, subsystem functionality, assembly, and operationsLead inter-module development priorities and expectations as resolution of integration issues between lead engineers and their respective teamsCoordinate the cross-functional change management process, facilitating design reviews and ensuring communication between all groups affected by the changeManagement of the Vehicle CAD models, including making sure top-down design principles, maintaining the CAD structure, and exporting CAD modelsEnsure the team adheres to the configuration management best practices as well as Blue Origin configuration management standardsQualifications:B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related subject areaSuccessful candidates in this role typically have 5+ years of related experienceConfiguration control experience on recently developed products from early trade studies through final design, manufacturing, and testStrong social skills and experience working in a highly integrated cross-functional team environmentStrong design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software and experience with large assembly management (Creo Pro/E preferred)Experience with component packaging of highly integrated and complex productsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environmentMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumDesired (but not required):Experience designing and developing flight proven spacecraft hardware6+ years of professional experience developing integrated systemsStrong knowledge of GD&T practices with tolerance stack-up analysisDon't meet every single requirement?
