The Assembler is responsible for the assembling of light duty truck and van equipment.
Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Locate, unbox and assemble various aftermarket, steel and aluminum truck and van equipment; this includes shelving, ladder racks, partitions and other equipment.
- Assist the install technicians as needed
- Read and follow basic mechanical instructions and do so in accordance with company standard operating procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Vocational school a plus
- Experience with operating a Forklift preferred
- Candidates must successfully complete criminal background check and submit to a motor vehicle background check
Skills:
- Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy boxes/shelves/racks
- Ability to stand for most of the day
- Use hand tools, cordless tools, cutting tools and pneumatic tools
- Solid background in using basic mechanical skills ensuring solid comfort in using a variety of tools; not limited to saws, drills, utility knives, hand tools
- Comfortable in using tape measure and measuring accurately
