Job Title: Automation Tester Position Type: Full-time Job ID: 125083 Location: Cary, North Carolina (Hybrid) Detailed Job Description We are seeking a skilled Automation Tester with strong expertise in backend testing and BDD frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in Java‑based automation, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines, along with exposure to messaging systems like Kafka or MQ. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java and Cucumber (BDD) . Perform backend/API testing for microservices‑based applications. Develop and execute automated test scenarios for RESTful services. Validate data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity across systems. Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity) . Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure quality deliverables. Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them to closure. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation frameworks and best practices. Handle validations involving Kafka/MQ messaging systems . Required Skills Strong experience in Java programming . Hands‑on experience with Cucumber BDD framework . Solid knowledge of Backend/API Testing . Experience working with Microservices Architecture . Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging systems . Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools . Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries . Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured). Good to have Experience with test frameworks like Serenity, TestNG, or JUnit . Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure). Compensation and Benefits A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
