Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Behavioral Health Job Type: Full‑Time | Schedule: 3x12; 7a‑7p; Rotating Weekends Overview Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension SaintThomas, part of Lifepoint Health, invites a Behavioral Health LPN to join our team. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as supervised by a registered nurse, following scope and standards of practice. Assist in patient assessment by collecting data for analysis by an RN. Perform plan‑of‑care interventions, including specimen collection, wound care, medication administration (as authorized), and documentation of patient care. Support RN in developing and executing care plans. Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and response to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Qualifications Applicants must hold a current Tennessee or compact state LPN license and be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Additional requirements include: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. One year of previous experience preferred. State of Tennessee LPN license. Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
