We currently looking for Kubernetes / Platform Engineer for a client based out in Philadelphia, PA. Please see the job description below for your reference.
Position: Kubernetes / Platform Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA - Onsite
Duration: 12months
Lead database migration planning and execution from MySQL to PostgreSQL
Design and validate PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB architecture for Zabbix v7 workloads
Build and support replication, failover, backup, restore, and recovery processes
Review database sizing, growth, retention, indexing, and performance tuning
Validate database integrity during conversion, testing, and cutover
Partner with application and infrastructure teams on Kubernetes-hosted database support requirements
Establish operational standards for patching, monitoring, access, and production support
Support testing for:
Converted database loads
Zabbix v6 to v7 upgrade validation
Replication and failover
Post-migration stability
