Position Title Food and Beverage Supervisor – Smokehouse Social Job Overview As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will lead the daily operations of the food and beverage area, ensuring guest satisfaction, profitability, and compliance with hotel policies. Responsibilities Perform all dining room positions including server, server assistant, and host. Open and close the restaurant and supervise staff in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Assist with ongoing training to ensure standards are met. Interact positively with customers, promoting hotel facilities and services; resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties. Maintain profitability of the outlet by controlling payroll, equipment costs, and par stock levels. Utilize POS system to accurately charge customers and ensure timely food and beverage service. Direct and coordinate activities of all assigned associates and departmental responsibilities in the food and beverage area. Support hotel policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance are maintained. Participate in the hotel's Fire, Safety, Security, and Environmental plan and committees. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervise all service personnel, providing counseling and discipline to maintain service standards. Maintain proper set‑up of the food and beverage area and enforce uniform and grooming standards daily. Conduct daily shift meetings to keep staff informed of promotions, specials, guest comments, events, and memos. Ensure all staff have completed daily checklists. Set up and expedite banquet functions. Read and follow recipes related to menu production. Memorize production specifications, food presentations, and cooking methods pertinent to menu production. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintain a sanitary environment in compliance with local health department standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous restaurant experience preferred. Experience in food and beverage supervision. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including staffing levels, service equipment, and guest relations. Strong communication skills in English for guest requests, memorization of banquet event orders. Capability to work entire shifts standing and moving throughout restaurants and kitchen areas. Patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and resolve customer issues. Ability to read client orders and special requests from POS printer in English. Benefits Competitive wages.
