TIG WELDER / MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Jeffersonville, IN | Full-Time, Temp-to- Hire |$28–$30 / hour
Shift: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
About the Role
Bring your hands and your head to work. BESTAFF is hiring a skilled TIG Welder with maintenance technician experience for a top manufacturing partner in Jeffersonville, IN. You’ll lay down clean, precise welds on production parts — and keep the equipment that runs the floor humming. If you like solving problems, switching gears, and getting paid well to do both, this is your seat.
What You’ll Do
- Perform high-quality TIG welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel to blueprint and weld-symbol specifications
- Set up, tune, and troubleshoot welding equipment to maintain consistent quality and minimal downtime
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, tooling, and fixtures to keep the line running
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Partner with production and engineering teams to suggest improvements and reduce scrap
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in line with 5S and OSHA standards
What You Bring
- 2+ years of TIG welding experience on production or fabrication work
- Industrial maintenance technician experience — mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic
- Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and equipment schematics
- Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for the full shift
- Reliable, team-oriented, and proud of the work you put your name on
