Accounting Coordinator

Accounting Coordinators ensure that the accounting department operates smoothly. Communicate with all new clients to confirm what services we are going to provide and what documents are required to move forward. Follow-up with current clients on a regular basis regarding pending documents and the status of their account via phone, email, and/or text. Assist with quarterly payroll filings for clients as well as setting up proper government entity accounts for filing. Assist with data entry and the preparation of financial reports. Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc. Communicate with clients via phone, email, and/or in-person. Work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. What can we give you? The Accounting Coordinator will have a basic understanding of accounting principles with the ability to multitask and remain motivated. Positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic. Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently. The ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Coachable mindset and student mentality. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s software systems. Mastery of bookkeeping software with strong typing skills. Expertise with computers and software, such as MS Excel or QuickBooks. 1 year of payroll experience. 1 year of relevant work experience of accounting administration. Associate degree (preferred) Access to the following equipment to perform the required work duties. A computer, laptop, monitor, tablet and/or smart phone. Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance.
