Details Work in a free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital Dual role combining staff nurse and charge nurse responsibilities Adult patient population requiring inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions High acuity unit functioning similarly to a medical-surgical unit Patient ratio of 1:7 Uses mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards Uses vital sign machines, EKG machines, and blood glucose monitors Charts using Epic EMR 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotations On-call responsibilities required No current float requirement, though floating to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future Requirements Active RN license (WI or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in skilled nursing or another 24/7 skilled care environment Prior charge nurse experience required Minimum 13 weeks of recent Epic EMR experience required Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Serve in a dual role providing both charge nurse leadership and direct patient care Assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed to ensure patient safety Work within a facility accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs 30-minute unpaid break required each shift, along with two paid 15-minute breaks during a 12-hour shift Staff are not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval Does not accept local candidates Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P-733770.
