We are seeking a Sales Engineer who can combine technical expertise with a consultative sales approach. In this role, you will work alongside Account Managers and Channel Partners to influence opportunities, deliver compelling demonstrations, and help customers understand the business value of our cybersecurity solutions.

Job Purpose: The Sales Engineer partners with the sales team to drive revenue growth by providing technical expertise throughout the customer buying journey. As a subject matter expert in cybersecurity solutions, this role is responsible for identifying customer needs, delivering compelling product demonstrations, conducting technical evaluations, and designing solutions that address complex security challenges. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with consultative sales skills to build customer confidence, articulate business value, and help organizations strengthen their security posture.

What You'll Do:

\n

\n
• Provide presentation of company solutions (MDR bundle: Endpoint, Encryption, MFA, ECOS, LiveSense, EDR, MDR).
\n
• Conduct 'proof of value' and 'proof of concepts' assessments for customers.
\n
• Assist in deeper qualification of customer requirements and contribute to opportunity responses in the CRM.
\n
• Provide active signposting and contribute to technical success of a customer's life-cycle.
\n
• Record and track activity with customer via CRM and provide technical feedback.
\n
• Complement resources provided by Enablement teams and assist Sales teams with enablement of the channel beyond basic demonstrations in person or remotely.
\n
• Keep up to date with industry knowledge and news from a technical perspective.
\n
• Develop and maintain testing programs/demonstration environments for company solutions.
\n
• Plan and coordinate the work of colleagues in accordance with superior's instructions, be responsible for the performance of the tasks entrusted to it in accordance with established procedures and processes and prioritize tasks of colleagues in order to meet established objectives and achieve required results.
\n
• Perform conceptual, systemic, creative and methodical activities.
\n
• Carry out other work according to the instructions of a managing employee in accordance with the activity of the department and the company.

ESET is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected OTE for this position is $120k-$140kOTE. Additional benefits—such as health and wellness programs, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, and paid time off—are valued starting at $36,859 and may be offered in accordance with company plans.

What You Have:

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
\n
• Relevant industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, CCNA, CCNP, or cloud security certifications, CompTIA Network,+ CompTIA A+ preferred
\n

\n

\n

Experience:

\n

\n
• 2+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer role required, preferably within the cybersecurity industry and/or a SaaS environment.
\n
• 2+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, networking, cloud security, endpoint security, identity management, threat detection, or related security solutions.
\n
• Proven experience partnering with sales teams to support complex enterprise sales cycles.
\n
• Experience conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and customer workshops.
\n
• Experience working with enterprise customers, channel partners, MSPs, MSSPs, or VARs is preferred.
\n

Skills & Abilities

\n

\n
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
\n
• Knowledge of endpoint protection, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, network security, cloud security, and zero-trust architectures.
\n
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical audiences.
\n
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills with the ability to engage executive, technical, and business stakeholders.
\n
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
\n
• Ability to conduct technical discovery and develop solution recommendations aligned with customer requirements.
\n
• Experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
\n
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
