Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) – Dayton, OH

• Shift (type/length): Days - Monday thru Friday - 8 Hrs
• Hours/week: 40 hrs/wk
• Employment Type: W2
• Experience: 1 Yr Minimum Medical Office Support Experience

• Pay: $17.00/hr plus 11 Paid Federal Holidays and an additional $5.09/hr paid towards health and wellness benefits ($22.77/hr total package)

• Provide front-desk reception and high-quality customer service in clinical settings
• Maintain and manage appointment schedules for one or more clinics/units
• Support clinic access needs by adjusting appointment times/locations/dates as required
• Coordinate administrative, non-clinical tasks for the care team from initiation through closure (tasking, tracking, follow-through)
• Screen and route phone calls professionally while following established processes
• Validate and update patient demographic information during check-in and by phone
• Collect, scan, and update insurance information in accordance with required procedures

Required

• Ability to deliver professional customer service with tact and diplomacy
• Strong scheduling, coordination, and administrative support skills
• Ability to follow privacy practices and identification verification procedures

Preferred

• Experience supporting clinic operations in a healthcare setting (not specified as required)

In this role, you will support administrative operations across clinical areas and/or inpatient wards, working within an interdisciplinary care delivery model. You’ll help ensure timely access to care by coordinating schedules, supporting contingency planning, and maintaining accurate administrative records while providing a positive experience for patients and staff.
