## Description**QA/QC Welder/Manager - Industrial Air Flow Dynamics (IAFD) |Cleveland, TX**Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc. ("IAFD") is seeking a QA/QC Manager to join our team in Cleveland, TX!The QA/QC Manager is responsible for supporting welding quality initiatives both in the shop and in the field. This role works closely with Engineering, Field Services, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to ensure welding quality, code compliance, and project execution standards are met or exceeded.This position is heavily involved in field welding support and quality oversight, including reviewing weld documentation and photos during active outages, providing real-time feedback, supporting and coaching welders in the field, and assisting with welding-related troubleshooting. Travel to customer job sites may be required to support inspections, outage activities, field quality initiatives, and, when necessary, perform welding activities.**Duties and Responsibilities*** Manage and oversee welding quality to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and company quality requirements.* Review, develop, and maintain welding procedures to meet code and customer requirements.* Support field operations by reviewing welding photos and inspection documentation during active projects and providing timely feedback and direction.* Provide hands-on support, coaching, and technical guidance to welders and field personnel during fabrication and installation activities.* Travel to job sites as needed to support outage activities, inspections, weld quality reviews, and field QA/QC functions.* May be required to perform welding activities in the field based on project demands and operational needs.* Manage certification and qualification processes for welders and welding procedures, including maintaining qualification records and continuity logs.* Oversee weld testing and certifications for both new-hire and current company welders.* Coordinate with Field Supervisors, Engineering, and Operations to ensure quality expectations are communicated and achieved.## Qualifications**Certification, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements*** Minimum of 8 years of experience in welding QA/QC, fabrication, repair, or field service environments.* Current CWI certification preferred; Level II field inspection experience strongly preferred.* Strong understanding of ASME welding procedures, welder qualifications, and code compliance requirements.* Knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section V, and related NDE methods, including MT, PT, UT, and RT.* Experience supporting field welding operations and outage-related work scopes preferred.* Ability to review weld quality documentation, inspection reports, and welding photos with strong attention to detail.* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and support field operations within strict project deadlines.* Willingness and ability to travel to job sites as required.**Industrial Air Flow Dynamics, Inc.
