Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Rotating Equipment Location: Freeport, TX Type: Contract to Direct Compensation: Depending on experience Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 5–8 hours day Responsibilities Perform inspections and diagnostic analysis of plant rotating equipment. Rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair coordination. Technical support for improving equipment performance. Working with operations personnel for troubleshooting and best practices for operability. Coordinate/assist with overall plant piping specifications development. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering 5-10 years of rotating equipment experience for industrial applications. Hands‑on experience working with pumps, pump seal systems, blowers/fans, mixers, and compressors. Professional Engineer License TWIC Card is a plus Experience working with ASME and API Standards for rotating equipment and machinery. Experience with developing and understanding Piping Material Class Specifications Position requires significant exposure to vendor document review, detailed assessment of vendor design accuracy and specification compliance.
