Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year with Vacaville Unified School District in Vacaville, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support upper elementary students in a specialized educational setting while providing individualized instruction and services designed to promote academic, social, and developmental growth.

Setting: Elementary Mod/Severe or ESN Classroom

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student IEP goals
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Assess and track student progress while maintaining accurate documentation
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs
Create and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations

Qualifications:

Active California Education Specialist Credential in Extensive Support Needs (ESN) or Moderate/Severe Disabilities (Required)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Previous experience working with students in Mod/Severe or ESN settings preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs

Candidates must possess an active California ESN or Moderate/Severe Education Specialist Credential to be considered for this opportunity.
