HVAC Technician Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• HVAC certification or technical school training preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• 3-5 years of HVAC service experience preferred.
• Residential and/or commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of electrical components, wiring, motors, capacitors, relays, contactors, and control boards.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment specifications.
• Experience checking refrigerant pressures, leak detection, evacuation, and refrigerant charging.
• Knowledge of condensate drains, drain pans, float switches, and overflow protection.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
• Ability to safely use HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
• VRV/VRF system experience is a plus.
• Garage HVAC/refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, tight spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry HVAC equipment and materials.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to accurately document repairs, findings, and parts used.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, company policies, and applicable HVAC codes.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
