Medical Office Assistant (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Bel Air, MD (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $20-$23/hour

We are seeking a customer-focused Medical Office Assistant to join a busy Pediatric and Adult Medicine practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with healthcare administrative experience who is looking for long-term career growth within a respected healthcare organization. The team is also open to considering Medical Assistants who are interested in transitioning into a front-office role.

• Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions and requests
• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
• Verify insurance information and ensure accurate patient records
• Enter and update patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and team members
• Provide administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth office operations
• Maintain a high level of customer service while handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment

• 3-5+ years of experience in a healthcare administrative, medical receptionist, medical secretary, scheduling, or front-desk role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience working with EMR systems required
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Excellent computer and data entry skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a busy medical office environment
• Professional demeanor and dependable attendance record

• Experience working in a pediatric practice
• Medical Assistant background with an interest in front- office/administrative responsibilities
• Insurance verification experience
• Strong phone etiquette and patient-service skills

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
