Ohlone Humane Society is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that serves the Tri-City area in the East Bay. We care for animals and the community through humane programs and services. Ohlone Humane Society is privately funded and relies on the generous support of our community through donations and volunteering. Overview Wildlife Rehabilitation Center Director – Volunteer Duties/Responsibilities Know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs as well as understand its collective purpose Faithfully read and understand the organization’s financial statements and board materials in advance of meetings Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization Fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to achieve the organization’s mission Help identify personal connections that can benefit the organization’s fundraising and reputational standing, and influence public policy Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings Participate fully in one or more committees or task forces Engage in learning opportunities to better understand the community we serve Conduct annual performance reviews of paid staff members Respect the experiences of all who bring their voices and lived experiences into the boardroom and the organization Skills / Competencies Work well with others Leadership Skills Program Administration experience Who Should Apply Someone with passion for helping others, with passion for animals One that likes to lead Time Commitment 10-20 hours per week Training can be onsite or virtual Will need to be trained on how to do monthly report, how to calculate monthly volunteer hours on Signup.com and how to use Wildlife Rehabilitation MD Complete driving requirements for OHS Attend monthly board meetings #J-18808-Ljbffr Ohlone Humane Society
