If you're an experienced pharmacy leader ready for a unique opportunity in a beautiful island community. The salary for this role is $161,000 - 193,000. This position is eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance may also be available. Under the direction of pharmacy leadership, oversees the daily operations of pharmacy services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Provides leadership, guidance, and support to pharmacy staff while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment. Partners with department leadership to establish and implement short- and long-term departmental goals, policies, and procedures, and promotes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. Essential Functions Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to pharmacy staff while serving as a role model and fostering a collaborative work environment. Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services, including scheduling, staffing assignments, and workflow coordination. Serves as a resource on pharmacy policies, procedures, and best practices for pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff. Participates in the department's on-call rotation, as assigned. Supports staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Assists with the recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies and procedures. Plans and facilitates educational programs, in-service training, and staff meetings to promote professional development and regulatory compliance. Qualifications Education Doctor of Pharmacy Pharmacy required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials MA Pharmacist License Experience 3-5 years of related experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have excellent verbal, written and quantitative skills. Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations. Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and legal aspects of dispensing. Demonstrate interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after a three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education. Can work accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints. Strong attention to detail.
