Job Summary

Help us deliver the beverages Kansas celebrates with. Crown Distributors, a family-owned distributor, keeps Northeast Kansas supplied with the beer, beverage, and non-alcoholic brands retail accounts depend on. We're hiring a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead our Topeka order selection team. This is a leadership role that runs from the floor, not a desk. You set the pace for the shift and flex to where the work needs you: heavier on picking some nights, heavier on loading others, depending on volume and staffing. Either way, you're the one watching accuracy and cases per hour, keeping equipment ready, and securing the building once the last truck is loaded.

Responsibilities

• Leading the Shift: Run the shift-start huddle and lead the 2nd shift Order Selector team through picking, loading, and daily production goals.
• Training: Train new selectors on safe equipment operation, accurate picking with our ring-scanner system, and clean pallet stacking.
• Hands-On Support: Jump on an electric pallet jack or forklift when the floor needs hands-on support to hit dispatch deadlines.
• Closing the Building: Wrap up the shift by organizing the warehouse, cleaning up your work areas, and securing the building for the night.
• Equipment Readiness: Flag equipment issues to operations management before they cost the next shift time.
• Safety and Standards: Hold the floor to safety standards and address concerns the same day.
• People Management: Partner with the Warehouse Manager and HR on hiring, shift staffing decisions, coaching, and corrective action for your team.
• Hitting the Numbers: Own the shift's cases-per-hour (CPH), on-time loading, and order accuracy targets.
• Making the Call: Make real-time staffing and production decisions on your shift within defined limits. You own the floor.

Rewards

• Pay: $58,000 – $66,000 per year
• Bi-weekly pay, plus on-demand pay available through Paylocity.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older.

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a warehouse lead, shift supervisor, military team lead, or equivalent operational leadership experience; DSD or beverage distribution experience a plus.
• Comfortable operating an electric pallet jack and forklift (certification provided if needed).
• Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for a full shift; lift 25-pound cases repetitively; and occasionally handle kegs weighing up to 165 pounds.
