Warehouse Operations Lead

Position Summary

Plans, organizes, and directs the work activities and resources necessary for receiving, storing, and shipping raw material and finished good products needed for customer orders.

Essential Functions

1. Serves as a positive role model consistent with corporate culture at all times.

2. Maintains 100% inventory accuracy in both warehouses.

3. Establishes and implements procedures to better serve our customers in receiving, storing, packing and pulling of all materials.

4. Ensures that proper procedures are followed, and appropriate reports are generated when incoming shipments arrive.

5. Ensures timely, accurate and appropriate records of receiving and shipping data.

6. Ensures safe and correct operation of all material handling equipment.

7. Works closely with sales and customer service agents to meet all customer shipping requirements. Communicates potential delays or problems impacting customer expectations.

8. Researches and recommends equipment and supplies pertinent to warehouse areas determining value by assessing performance versus cost. Includes capital expenditure proposals when necessary.

9. Maintains a safe, neat, and orderly warehouse and office environment ready for visitors at any time.

10. Processes and distributes daily shipping activity to accounting for invoicing.

11. Adjusts and maintains advanced shipping requests as needed.

12. Transmits advanced shipping notices to customer per requirements.

13. Performs inspections of staged loads before shipping.

14. Participates in regular management meetings and other meetings as needed.

15. Attends training sessions and seminars as required.

16. Ability to operate a 20ft tow-behind trailer and a gas-powered forklift.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred experience in warehouse setting. Team Leader/Management experience helpful.
