Operating Room Open Heart in Richmond, VA. The position supports cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures in an operating room environment, including cases requiring bypass, thoracotomy, video-assisted thoracic surgery, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and robotic assistance. The role requires advanced scrubbing skills and the ability to participate in assigned call coverage.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week. Assignment dates: 11/16/2026–02/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; proficiency scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass, mediastinal and thoracic surgery cases, open thoracotomy, video-assisted thoracic surgery, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation procedures, pericardial windows, and robotic-assisted procedures; ability to take assigned weekday and weekend call.
• Additional Information: The operating room performs a variety of cardiac and thoracic procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacement, aortic dissection repair, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, robotic-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, mediastinal lymph node biopsy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and pericardial window procedures. Scrubs are provided.
