Job Description

Primary Focus

• Build firewall services for new sites and enterprise initiatives.

• Convert legacy firewall environments to current architecture and standards.

• Implement connectivity for applications, vendors, medical systems, and business-to-business integrations.

• Maintain and modernize enterprise firewall architecture.

• Lead implementation, troubleshooting, validation, documentation, and operational handoff.

Skills and Requirements

• Hands-on implementation and troubleshooting experience with multiple enterprise firewall and security platforms, including:

o Palo Alto Networks

o Cisco Firepower Threat Defense, or FTD

o Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance, or ASA

o Zscaler Internet Access, or ZIA

o Zscaler Private Access, or ZPA

o Zscaler Zero Trust Branch, or ZTB

• Enterprise firewall policy administration, including:

o Security policies

o Network and application objects

o Network Address Translation

o Routing

o Logging and monitoring

o Software upgrades

o Rule auditing and remediation

• Strong understanding of:

o Site-to-site and business-to-business VPNs

o Remote-access VPN services

o Application traffic flows

o Segmentation and security zones

o High-availability firewall configurations

• Ability to troubleshoot complex application connectivity issues across firewalls, proxies, VPNs, and network infrastructure.
