Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Med Surg

CNA Full-Time Evenings

Schedule: Full-time evenings (5 shifts of 7.5 hours each), every other weekend.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 14 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Requirements:

• New York State Nursing Assistant Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One year of experience in long-term care (LTC)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in the care plan, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
• Maintain resident safety and cleanliness in accordance with care plans and policies.
• Support residents with nutritional needs including meal delivery and assistance with feeding.
• Facilitate rehabilitative and restorative care activities as directed in the care plan.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the supervising nurse promptly.
• Adhere to safety protocols regarding occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Compliance / Notes:

Must be available to begin full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday.
