RN First Assistant (RNFA)

We dedicate our lives to caring for yours. BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) to join our compassionate staffing resource office team. BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including:

• System Pool - 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available
• Seasonal Pool has a mileage eligibility 13-week assignment for assignment department/hospital-unit provided schedule-block scheduling not available

Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) responsibilities include:

• The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team. This position is responsible for developing self and team members and sharing organizational information
• Position requires trocar insertion under direct surgeon supervision and requires injection of local anesthetic under surgeon supervision
• For this position, we strongly prefer a minimum of 3 years RN experience in the Operating Room. Current CNOR and Technical Program completion are required.

Certifications and licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor's Nursing

Preferred:

• Technical Program Completion or Degree

Experience:

• Required experience includes 3 years acute care RN Operating Room experience- Must be proficient in robotics, ortho, plastics and general.

Shift Hours: 0630-5:00pm

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes - Must take call and late stay when needed. Be within 30min of facility or willing to stay in sleep room. Must be proficient in robotics, ortho, plastics and general. How often will this team member be working remotely? Never
