Clinical Social Worker MSW Care Management Full Time Days

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI owns and operates multiple surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgical care centers throughout the United States and London; with headquarter located in Addison, TX.

The Pre-admission patient care assistant and phlebotomist will assist pre-admission patients with blood draws, performing ekgs, obtaining vital signs and facilitating patient’s pre-admit visit including a nurse visit as necessary. They will assist patients with the basic nursing care and maintenance of a safe and clean environment. The pre-admission phlebotomist will practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in the unit. They are required to communicate any abnormal results to the Registered Nurse. They will document within their scope of practice. They may be asked to contact physician's offices, answer telephones, send and reply to emails. They will be asked to help with ordering of supplies for the unit. Make sure all patient and peer interactions are professional.

Required Skills

• High school student or graduate or equivalent

• Previous clinical experience required

• Certification of completion in phlebotomy

• Current certification in CPR

• Excellent communication skills

• Good Organization habits

• Proper use of aseptic technique with collecting specimens and handling bodily fluids.

• Ability to manage time and prioritize patient care

• Possess the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.

• Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.

• May be asked to flex to different areas/departments during downtime.

Required Experience

Qualifications:

• High school student or graduate or equivalent
